Visit - Ayrlies Garden & Wetlands

The Garden will close for the Christmas and New Year period from 4:00pm Friday 20th December and will reopen 9:00am on Monday 13th January 2025. We will be open by appointment only from 6th to 11th January. Please email the team in advance if you would like to visit in the week 7th to 11th January at garden@ayrlies.co.nz

Admission

$20.00 per visitor
Online Payment can be made here.
We prefer online payment. Please show garden staff proof of payment.
In the event of cash, please pay one of the garden staff you will find working in the garden.
We regret no dogs or children under 12 years old can be admitted.
The garden is 6 hectares of rolling terrain, some steep with steps. Unfortunately, it is not at all suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

Plant Fair 2025

$20.00 per ticket. The 2025 Plant Fair will be held on 14 & 15 March 2025.

Groups & Tours

For groups over 10 people, bookings are essential.
Guided tours of approximately 1.5 hours are available on request during weekdays at a cost of $250.

Professional & Wedding Photography

For all photoshoot enquiries including but not limited to: anniversary, professional, product, or family photography etc. please contact our lovely admin team at garden@ayrlies.co.nz. We are able to offer wedding photography within the garden however at the moment we do not allow weddings to be held. Nursery

This is a specialised nursery with near all plants propagated from the Garden. You are welcome to purchase plants, please ask the garden staff. Please note cash purchases only, we are unable to accept credit cards or EFTPOS.

Parking

Please park in the Garden Car Park, 1.5 kilometres on the right down Potts Road. Once parked, enter the Garden through the Lych Gate. Just inside you will find a brochure and a map to enhance your visit.
